Beverages

Fast, clean batch and expiry codes on bottled water, soft drinks, juice, beer and spirits, on bottles, cans, cartons and multipacks.

High speed, high moisture, no room for error

Beverage lines are among the fastest in any factory, and the packs are cold, wet and curved. A date and batch code is needed on every bottle, can and carton, and it has to survive chilling, crating and transport to kiosks, bars and supermarkets across the country.

Printers on beverage lines need to code at speed, store many product messages and keep working in high moisture. Codes often go on the product, the shrink-wrapped multipack and the shipping carton, so a single batch can be traced at every level.

What we mark

  • PET and glass bottles
  • Aluminium and steel cans
  • Aseptic cartons and pouches
  • Bottle caps and closures
  • Shrink-wrapped multipacks
  • Shipping cartons

Advantages for beverage producers

Features that matter on fast, wet, high-volume bottling and canning lines.

01

Moisture-proof build

A sealed electronics enclosure and stainless cabinet handle the damp around fillers and rinsers.

02

Plenty of message memory

Store many products and formats and switch fast at changeover.

03

Protected head

A fluorine-coated nozzle and clean-air protection keep the head clean through long runs.

04

Codes at every level

Mark the product, the shrink wrap and the carton so a batch can be traced end to end.

05

Curve-true characters

A curve setting keeps characters undistorted on round bottles and cans at speed.

06

Compact heads

Small heads fit into the tight spaces around crowded conveyors.

Built for Kenyan production lines

Kenyan bottlers and brewers run long shifts in warm weather and ship through distributors to bars, kiosks and supermarkets across the country.

  • IP65 printers and air knives for condensation on chilled bottles.
  • Reliability for long shifts, with maintenance plans and fast fault response.
  • Fast message changes between sizes and products.
  • Codes on bottle, multipack and carton for end-to-end traceability.
  • Inks, solvents and spares available locally.
  • Operator training for every shift.

Common questions

Will the code survive condensation and chilling?

With the right ink and a clean, dry print surface, codes hold up well. If bottles are wet at the print point we suggest an air knife or a different position.

Can one printer handle many products?

Yes. Store a message for each product and select it at changeover.

Can I code on metal caps and cans?

Yes. Inks are matched to the metal or lacquer, and laser marking is an option on some surfaces.

Can codes be printed on shrink wrap?

Yes. A suitable ink and the right print position give a sharp variable date or batch code on shrink film.
