Coding on Pipe
Size, pressure class, standard and batch marks on PVC, HDPE and PPR pipe, applied at extrusion speed.

Every length of pipe carries its identity
Pipe for water supply, irrigation, drainage and electrical conduit has to be identifiable along its full length. Each length carries its size, pressure class, material, maker and the standard it meets, plus batch details that tie it to a production run.
Continuous inkjet prints these marks on moving pipe without touching it, whether the surface is smooth PVC, black HDPE or coloured PPR. Laser marking is a permanent, ink-free option. Both can print at extrusion pace and be set up for length marks.

What we mark on pipe
- Brand and pipe material
- Nominal size and pressure class
- Standard or approval references
- Batch codes with date and time
- Running length marks
Key features
What you can expect from a coding system set up for this pack.
- Non-contact on any surfaceMark smooth, textured, coloured and black pipe without pressure on the surface.
- Fast-setting inksInks made for plastic pipe set quickly and resist rubbing during stacking and transport.
- Large, clear charactersMarks an installer or inspector can read easily on site.
- Batch tracingDate, time and batch marks link every length to a production run.
Built for Kenyan production lines
Pipe makers in Kenya supply construction, irrigation and water projects, where installers and inspectors check what is printed on the pipe.
- Marks laid out to carry the information your standard or tender requires.
- Inks and printers that cope with dusty, warm extrusion halls.
- Batch and time codes that help trace a length if a complaint comes back from site.
- Local inks, spares and fault response for continuous lines.
- Operator training for quick changes between pipe sizes and classes.

Common questions
Can you mark black or coloured pipe?
Yes. Inks come in black and coloured options, so we choose one that stands out against your pipe colour.
Will the marks survive stacking and transport?
Fast-drying inks made for plastic resist rubbing, and we confirm the ink against your pipe material first.
Can the printer follow different pipe sizes on the same line?
Yes. Messages and print head positions can be changed for each pipe size, so changeovers are quick.
